Our Team
AT ARCHWAY VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY
Amy-Louise Voakes
CHARTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST - SPECIALISING IN VETERINARY PHYSIOTHERAPY
Amy is the newest member of our team, starting with us in April 2021. Amy is a Chartered Physiotherapist, completing her human physiotherapy training at University of Liverpool in 2016. After graduating, Amy spent 5 years working for the NHS, working her way up from Junior Physiotherapist to Senior Physiotherapist, and finally a Team Leader position, before leaving to join us at Archway.
Whilst working for the NHS, Amy continued her studies at University of Liverpool to complete a post-graduate degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. As a Chartered Physiotherapist, Amy is now a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT).
Amy has a keen interest in evidence-based practice, and is therefore continuing her university education by completing a research project for her Masters (MSc) qualification.
Hazel Knipe
REGISTERED VETERINARY NURSE AND HYDROTHERAPIST
Hazel very first started with Archway Veterinary Practice back in 2002, before completing her degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2011. Hazel discovered a specialist interest in rehabilitation, and drove the introduction of laser therapy back in 2017. Following the introduction of our underwater treadmill at the new practice, Hazel has undergone level 3 animal hydrotherapy training, and developed a particular interest in senior pets, weight management and post-operative rehabilitation.
As you can see, Hazel brings many years of knowledge and experience to our team and is often called a “fountain of knowledge!” by the practice staff.
Jo Knox
VETERINARY SURGEON - OFFERING ACUPUNCTURE
Jo trained in Veterinary Science at University of Liverpool in 2004. Following graduation, Jo worked in North Herts, before joining Archway in 2005. Over the years, Jo developed a special interest in Pain Management. Jo completed a Western Veterinary Acupuncture course over 10 years ago, and continues to provide acupuncture treatment for all species of animal, large or small. Jo hopes to continue to develop her interest in pain management over the coming years. Outside of work, Jo enjoys walking her two dogs, Willow and Della, around the local area.
Optimal pain management is a fundamental part of rehabilitation, and we are so grateful to work closely with Jo and all the Vets at Archway Veterinary Practice every day.
